Wonderful memories of respected Sahgal Sir & Ma'am remain as fresh as ever - I had the Godsent opportunity of visiting them at Kasauli with Bhaumik Sir (2001) and availing their loving hospitality.
The most treasured of Sir's collections were the Abums with Photographs of officers of each course [DEO & AEC] with critical assessment & comments about each in his own handwriting! His assessments were unbelievably right on the mark!
Hats off to 4 AEC (my favourite course) for taking this initiative - I really love you guys - I personally have met & know most .... [THE most striking fact of Sahgal Sir's wonderful grooming is that each officer has expressed love, affection and respect in individually unique way - no two are remotely similar! *Really exceptional - as if each knew what the other is writing and avoided repeat expressions* ....

Most Respected Sir Cmde SS Sahgal Sir, It's a Real Memorable Day Today 23Apr; when with God's Grace & Blessings you have touched another Historical Mile Stone, ie 98 years of Well Respected Journey of Life. This journey has been remembered by many of us, at different stages of our life. At those stages Sahgal Sir, you have been a Pillar of Air Force ethos. You guided us through your own examples. These examples we have been recalling to correct our IAF course / journey of our Career(s). We cherished your guidances as a Brightest Light House, in the midst of Sea of our IAF journey, which we were taught / guided / directed to us during First 74 weeks of IAF Life / career / training, under your directions as Commandat. Sir, you were Promoted during our stay at AFTC; a cherished occasion for 7AEC then and now also. Sir, my personal memory, as junior-most Course at AFTC then, I was Blessed to participate in your 50th Birthday Celebrations at AFTC Commandat's House alongwith then CTO, STO and my course mate then Plt Offr Dhar. During these celebrations, Mrs Sahgal taught us another lesson while introducing us, as Trainee Officers to AOC-in-C TC and Senior Officers in the august gathering. Thanks a ton Mam. Those ethics are Well Preserved in my/ our heart & mind. Sir & Mam, May Almighty Bless you both with Best of Health, Peace of mind and Happiness.
